Midway has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Rockwood Tigers at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Sunbright scored an imposing 55 points on Tuesday, Midway still came out on top. Midway took their contest against the Tigers 68-55.
Meanwhile, Rockwood waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They snuck past Oliver Springs with a 46-42 win.
Ty'varion Pryor was his usual excellent self, scoring 27 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Alexander Norton was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Midway's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Rockwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
Midway came up short against the Tigers in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 60-55. Can Midway avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
