Last Saturday, Middle Tennessee Christian took a serious blow against Ezell-Harding Christian, falling 80-44. While losing is never fun, Middle Tennessee Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 352nd, while Ezell-Harding Christian is ranked 76th).
Meanwhile, in a tight contest that could have gone either way, The Webb School made off with a 53-52 victory over University School of Nashville.
The Webb School's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Eli Brown, who scored 14 points. The game was Brown's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jedidiah Jarrett, who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds.
Columbia Academy's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Middle Tennessee Christian's defeat dropped theirs to 0-4.
Middle Tennessee Christian came up short against The Webb School in their previous meeting back in February, falling 74-62. Can Middle Tennessee Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
