Camino Nuevo Dalzell Lance Campus put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They snuck past the Los Angeles Leadership Academy Lions with a 40-36 win. The 40-point effort marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Adam Hernandez, who posted 12 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Hernandez is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Rafael Santamaria, who dropped a double-double on 11 boards and ten blocks.

Camino Nuevo Dalzell Lance Campus' victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-0. As for Los Angeles Leadership Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Camino Nuevo Dalzell Lance Campus will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Animo Robinson at 10:30 a.m. on January 2, 2025. As for Los Angeles Leadership Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Maywood CES at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
