Make it nine blowout wins for the Morgan Township Cherokees this season. They blew past Westville 56-36. The victory was some much needed relief for Morgan Township as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Madi Lemmons went supernova for Morgan Township, scoring 19 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lemmons has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Honchar, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Morgan Township's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Westville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.
Morgan Township will take on Tri-Township at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tri-Township is looking to tack on another W to their nine-game streak on the road. As for Westville, they will face off against Argos at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
