If Somerset was riding high fresh off their 56-26 takedown of Providence Catholic on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs were dealt a 74-47 loss at the hands of the Hanks Knights on Friday. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Delilah Tamez, who posted ten points and three steals. Tamez is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last five games she's played. Julianna Antopia was another key player, putting up ten points.

Hanks got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Elise Jax Alva out in front who dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Marina Ruiz, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine assists.

Somerset's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Hanks, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Somerset didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-36 victory against Randolph on the 5th. As for Hanks, they have also already played their next matchup, a 50-47 defeat against Permian on the 5th.
