South Gate (Calif.) and
Huntington Park (Calif.) couldn't stop each other, but eventually
South Gate (Calif.) came away with the 51-37 victory.
The Rams scored 21 points in the third quarter on three rushing touchdowns.
After taking the lead on a touchdown catch by
Dale Vannoy in the first quarter, South Gate was up 22-12 at the half.
SG grew its lead to 19 points entering the fourth quarter. The Rams scored four times in the third, including once on an
Andrew Toro touchdown run.
Alexander Flatos and Toro ran for a bunch of touchdowns for the Spartans. Flatos scored three touchdowns on the ground and Toro added two as well.
With the win South Gate extended its winning streak to three games.
Huntington Park (4-2) will play a Eastern game against Jordan next week, while South Gate (4-2) will take on Roosevelt also in a Eastern game.
