The Osmond/Randolph Hawks will be playing at home against the Wausa Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Osmond/Randolph scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They really took it to Winside for the full four quarters, racking up a 51-24 win at home. The win was some much needed relief for Osmond/Randolph as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Osmond/Randolph's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Ella Scott, who scored 15 points along with four steals, and Keli Aschoff, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Scott has scored all season. Sophie Gansebom was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals and two blocks.
Meanwhile, Wausa came into Wednesday's game having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Winside on Wednesday by a score of 46-28 (the very same score they lost by the week prior). For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Wausa has managed all season.
Wausa's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sienna West, who scored 14 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Elle Brazel, who scored nine points along with six steals.
Osmond/Randolph's win bumped their record up to 4-14. As for Wausa, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-13.
Osmond/Randolph was able to grind out a solid victory over the Vikings in their previous matchup back in January, winning 48-37. Does Osmond/Randolph have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Vikings turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
