Windber hasn't had much luck against Everett recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Ramblers will look to defend their home field against the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. Windber is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season.
Windber had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but Richland put an end to it on Saturday. The Ramblers fell 5-2 to the Rams.
Logan Serenko was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Serenko wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ike Serenko, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Ike is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
Meanwhile, Everett entered their tilt with Chestnut Ridge on Saturday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Lions 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won eight contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Levi Cornell was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Lane Whitfield was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.
Everett was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .476. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .394 or higher in five consecutive games.
Windber's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Everett, their win bumped their record up to 13-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Windber has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Everett struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Windber suffered a grim 14-8 defeat to Everett in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Ramblers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
