Even though the Pemberton Hornets scored an imposing 58 points on Thursday, the Bordentown Scotties still came out on top. Bordentown took their contest against Pemberton 66-58. This was payback for Bordentown, who suffered a 72-64 loss the last time these two teams met.
Among those leading the charge was Andrew DeCosta, who scored 25 points along with six rebounds. Myles Hansford was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.
Bordentown's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Pemberton, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bordentown won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Burlington Township at 6:30 p.m. on December 15th. Hopefully Burlington Township focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Thursday. Pemberton will be home for the holidays to greet Collingswood at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
