C.A. Johnson is 9-1 against the Panthers since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The C.A. Johnson Hornets will be staying on the road to face off against the McBee Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, C.A. Johnson blew past the Eagles, posting a 73-37 win on the road.
Meanwhile, even though Lewisville scored an imposing 55 points on Friday, McBee still came out on top. McBee walked away with a 64-55 win over the Lions.
McBee got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tyrek Wright out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Wright is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jakari Holloman, who scored 15 points along with six assists and six rebounds.
C.A. Johnson's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-11. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.3 points per game. As for McBee, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
C.A. Johnson beat the Panthers 52-43 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for C.A. Johnson since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
