There's no place like home for the Mt. Markham Mustangs, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 50-47 win over Adirondack on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Mt. Markham also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Despite the defeat, Adirondack saw an underclassman step up: Ryan McGrath scored 18 points along with 8 rebounds and 6 steals. McGrath is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Bailey Gleasman, who scored 9 points along with 11 rebounds and 5 assists.
The win got Mt. Markham back to even at 1-1. As for Adirondack, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Canastota the next time they take the court. Adirondack will head out to face Canastota at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Mt. Markham will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on December 18th.
