The Portland Panthers waltzed into their match on Monday with three straight wins but they left with four. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Macon County and snuck past 37-35. This was a revenge match for Portland, as the team was forced to settle for a 47-28 defeat when these two played last Friday.
Taya Totten continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points. She hasn't dropped below 15 points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kemiyah Kelsey, who scored five points.
Macon County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Laityn Kirby, who scored 13 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Katie Jo shockley, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Portland's victory bumped their record up to 13-16. As for Macon County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-10.
Portland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Macon County also has no future games currently scheduled.
