The Boca Raton Bobcats will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against the American Heritage Stallions at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Boca Raton will be strutting in after a win while American Heritage will be coming in after a loss.
Boca Raton is headed into the matchup having just posted their biggest victory since April 15, 2024 on Friday. They blew past Santaluces 12-3. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Bobcats' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Dillon Casey made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aidan Donnelly, who went a perfect5-for-5 with three runs, three doubles, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. Mylo Pereira was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for American Heritage's offense. They fell just short of North Broward Prep by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. The Stallions haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Brady Snow was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.
On the hitting side, American Heritage saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Ober, who went 1-for-4 with one double.
Having lost for the first time this season, American Heritage fell to 2-1. As for Boca Raton, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Boca Raton has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like American Heritage struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
