Fountain Valley had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. Their defense stepped up to hand the Trinidad Miners  a   10-0 shutout.  Isabel Garza was a massive factor in the win, as she booted in four goals all by herself.
 This is  the second loss in a row for Trinidad and  nudges their season record down to 1-4.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fountain Valley will take on Manitou Springs at 4:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Trinidad, they will stay at home for another  game and welcome St. Mary's at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
