The Wayne Badgers won the last time they faced the Milford Tigers, and things went their way on Thursday too. Wayne walked away with a 37-28 victory over Milford.
Wayne was led to victory by Raegyn Blackburn and Makayla Jones. Blackburn scored 11 points, while Jones scored seven points along with six rebounds and six steals.
Despite the loss, Milford saw an underclassman step up: Kiley Fisher scored six points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. Karsydi Vestch was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds.
Wayne's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Milford, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-8.
Wayne will head out on the road to challenge Piute at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Piute is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last eight games. As for Milford, they will be playing at home against Rockwell at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Rockwell is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
