The Annville-Cleona Dutchmen will take on the Lancaster Catholic Crusaders at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Annville-Cleona is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
Annville-Cleona's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over Lancaster Mennonite. The result was nothing new for the Dutchmen, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Traian Dompier made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Annville-Cleona's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 6-7 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Noah Morcom was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zac Frentz, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
Annville-Cleona kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Northern Lebanon hit Lancaster Catholic with a four-run fifth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Crusaders fell 6-1 to the Vikings. The Crusaders haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
Gabe Garcia was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple and one run. That triple was his first of the season.
Lancaster Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Annville-Cleona, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-7.
Annville-Cleona's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's game. The Dutchmen have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game.
