Football Recap: Jesse Moyano Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Victory Christian Academy

Coastal Academy won the last time they faced Victory Christian Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Stingrays put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 41-19 win. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-7.

Coastal Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jesse Moyano, who rushed for 49 yards and three scores. Nolan White was another key back, rushing for 131 yards on only ten carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Coastal Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 380 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Coastal Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Cody Terpstra and Elek Vitzian.

Coastal Academy's record is now 4-1. As for Victory Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coastal Academy will take on Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: White and Hunter Schmidt. As for Victory Christian Academy, they will face off against Mountain Empire at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Redhawks' defense has only allowed 14.8 points per game this season, so the Knights' offense will have their work cut out for them.
