St. Mary Catholic took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over Mishicot. The Zephyrs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Joe Pirillo and Jacob Ernsting made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Pirillo tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Ernsting struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Pirillo has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. At the plate, Pirillo went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one RBI, while Ernsting went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave Ernsting a new career-high.
In other batting news, Ethan Plutz was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Alex Rice was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Reedsville hit Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah with a four-run fifth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Resorters came up short against the Panthers, falling 12-2. The Resorters have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.
The victory got St. Mary Catholic back to even at 4-4. As for Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
