The Brookwood Panthers will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Montevallo Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Brookwood's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 66-37 loss at the hands of Northside. The game was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Brookwood struggled afterwards.
Despite their defeat, Brookwood saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Taylor Crummie, who scored eight points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Jacob Rowell, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Montevallo unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 46-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bibb County. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Montevallo has scored all season.
Brookwood bumped their record down to 3-13 with that loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Montevallo, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4.
