Penns Manor's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carter Smith, who scored 25 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. The game was Smith's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Alex Polenik, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds.
Penns Manor's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4. As for Homer-Center, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.
Penns Manor will be home for the holidays to greet Williamsburg at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Williamsburg presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Penns Manor in Pennsylvania (Williamsburg is ranked 166th, while Penns Manor is ranked 459th). As for Homer-Center, they will head out on the road to face off against River Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully River Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Friday.
