There's no place like home for The Farmville Central Jaguars, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road two weeks ago. They blew past Greene Central 47-8 at home. The result was nothing new for Farmville Central, who have now won seven games by 30 points or more so far this season.
Farmville Central was led to victory by Landen Barnes and Elijah Able. Barnes threw for 111 yards and three touchdowns on only seven passes, while Able gained 107 total yards and two touchdowns. Able was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards. Alex Moye was another key contributor, rushing for 65 yards and a touchdown.
Farmville Central's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Greene Central, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 4-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Farmville Central will take on North Pitt at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given how much these teams ran in their prior games. Greene Central will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Princeton at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd.
