Greenway has won 12 straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Tempe has won 12 straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Demons will welcome the Buffaloes at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Greenway's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Shadow Mountain with a sharp 19-0 victory.
Madison Bailey was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

Greenway was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .640. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .316 or higher in eight consecutive matchups.
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Tempe and Cortez have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Wednesday. The Buffaloes blew past the Colts 16-6. That's two games straight that the Buffaloes have won by exactly ten runs.
The team relied heavily on Hilana Valencia, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Celeste Alvarez, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4.
Tempe's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Greenway, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6-1.
Greenway took their win against Tempe in their previous meeting back in March of 2022 by a conclusive 22-1 score. Do the Demons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Buffaloes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
