Portland fell to Gallatin 35-9 last week, the largest margin of any game.
The Green Wave's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Claly Carnes threw for 239 and 1 touchdown and Dedarius Redding had 96 yards receiving. On the ground Eric Debow chipped in 68 yards. Elias Hacket helped Gallatin's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 89 yards.
Ti'ron Dalton made the biggest impact on defense this week as Gallatin bested the Panthers. The 6-foot-0 senior grabbed 1 interception.
Carnes put up the best numbers in passing as Mark Williams' team topped Portland. Carnes' favorite target this week was Redding, who caught 6 passes for 96 yards.
The Green Wave's Carnes and Redding led AAA District 9 in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Carnes has thrown for 1,297 yards this season, while Redding has 28 catches for 412 yards. Beech's Dorian Carter leads the league in rushing yards with 1,320.
As it stands, the Buccaneers are in fourth, while Hendersonville is in second.
Gallatin led the league in scoring this week by notching 35 points on Traye Aric's team. Carnes ran for 15 yards during the win.
