While Groveton's win against Lisbon wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-8 victory over the Panthers on Monday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Hunter Parks and Gage Collins did most of the damage at the plate: Parks went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Collins got on base in all three of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave Collins a new career-high. Konner Shannon was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

The victory got Groveton back to even at 8-8. As for Lisbon, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.

Groveton will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
