This season hasn't been kind to the Black Hawk Warriors, who are still winless after their fourth game. They took a 49-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Belmont. Black Hawk was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Belmont apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Belmont to victory, but perhaps none more so than Wynston Palzkill, who scored 14 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Palzkill has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Gavin Optiz, who scored eight points.
Black Hawk bumped their record down to 0-4 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Belmont, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Argyle the next time they take the court. Belmont will host Argyle at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, while Black Hawk will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
