The Cavaliers were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Tigers on Monday. Considering the Cavaliers have won five games by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

CJ Rittinger made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Chillicothe got a massive performance out of D Simpson, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. K Blankenship was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Chillicothe always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.
McClain's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-2. As for Chillicothe, their record is now 6-0.
McClain's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Chillicothe has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 13.3 strikeouts per game.
