The Beamer Titans lost against the Decatur Golden Gators back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Beamer was dealt a 58-12 defeat at the hands of Decatur. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Beamer in their matchups with Decatur: they've now lost five in a row.
Decatur's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Teniah Armstead, who scored 9 points along with 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Kaira Creary was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with 3 steals.
Beamer's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Decatur, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Beamer has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Auburn at 6:15 p.m. on December 8th. As for Decatur, they will head out on the road to face off against Lincoln at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
