With a playoff game on the line, the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets rose to the challenge on Friday. They claimed a resounding 48-21 win over the Spartans on the road. The result was nothing new for Forest Hills, who have now won ten contests by 21 points or more so far this season.
Leading Forest Hills to victory were Brady Hibbard and Rodney Smith. Hibbard threw for 239 yards and two touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes, while Smith rushed for 108 yards and three touchdowns.
The win (which was Forest Hills' seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.4 points per game. As for Community School of Davidson, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-2.
Forest Hills will head out on the road to face off against Shelby at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Shelby is on a six-game streak of home wins, Forest Hills a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. Community School of Davidson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
