The Warren County Eagles gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They breezed by Rocky Mount Prep at home to the tune of 66-14. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Warren County also won the last time the pair played back in February.
Warren County was led to victory by Chaliyah Richardson and Aryana Meadows. Richardson scored 16 points, while Meadows scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Harris, who scored 8 points.
Despite the loss, Rocky Mount Prep still got an impressive performance from Niylee Bullock, who scored 6 points.
Warren County's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Rocky Mount Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Warren County will take on Northwest Halifax at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Northwest Halifax is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. As for Rocky Mount Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Southeast Halifax at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
