It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the South Atlanta Hornets can now relate to. They suffered a tough 35-12 loss at the hands of North Murray on Saturday.
Skyler Williams got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 140 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Judson Petty, who gained 78 total yards and a touchdown.
South Atlanta now has a losing record at 5-6. As for North Murray, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
South Atlanta does not have any more games scheduled as of now. North Murray will head out on the road to face off against Fellowship Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fellowship Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
