Windham had lost nine straight on the road dating back to last season, but  on Saturday they dropped their record down to 1-11 to make it ten. They lost  9-2 to the Sanford Spartans.  Windham saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Aiden Rinaldi, who  went 1-for-3 with one  home run.
As for Sanford, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games.
On Sanford's side,  Scott Robitaille Jr made a splash no matter where he played. He  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Robitaille Jr was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  double.
 In other pitching news,  Brayden Baron looked comfortable as he  pitched one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  hit in three consecutive appearances.
 Back at the plate,  Matthew Hebert and  Drew Vessels did most of the damage at the plate:  Hebert  went 1-for-4 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double, while  Vessels  got on base  in two of his three plate appearances with two  stolen bases and one  run. Vessels is becoming a predictor of Sanford's success: when he posts  at  least two  stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 4-5 when he doesn't).
