Carrboro is 8-2 against Durham School of the Arts since January of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. Despite their loss, Carrboro saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Madison Taylor, who posted 14 points in addition to five assists and three steals, was perhaps the best of all. Taylor is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Summer Lee, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 15 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Durham School of the Arts was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were beaten by Carrboro 58-16. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-7.
Carrboro will have to keep a close watch on Faith Yon and Kaylen Mumford, a pair of players who had a big impact on Durham School of the Arts' prior game. Yon put up 13 points, while Mumford earned no points. That was a full 81.3% of Durham School of the Arts' points, marking the fifth time in a row Yon has had more than a third of the team's points. Themis Brown also deserves some recognition as she scored her first point of the season.

However, it's not like Durham School of the Arts struggles in that department as they've been averaging 20.8 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
