This season hasn't been kind to the Osmond/Randolph Hawks, who are still winless after their fifth match. They took a hard 59-40 fall against Bloomfield on Thursday. Osmond/Randolph lost against Bloomfield in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 44-40 score last time.
Despite the loss, Osmond/Randolph had strong showings from Sophie Gansebom, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals, and Kaleigh Miller, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and three steals. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for her.
Even though they lost, Osmond/Randolph were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Madison Abbenhaus continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bloomfield, scoring 27 points. The matchup was Abbenhaus' seventh in a row with at least ten points. Tenly Gilsdorf was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Osmond/Randolph's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-5. As for Bloomfield, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-4.
Osmond/Randolph will be home for the holidays to greet Hartington-Newcastle at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bloomfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Laurel-Concord-Coleridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
