The Frankton Eagles were the 57-54 winner over the Wabash Apaches when they last played one another back in March of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. Frankton took a 55-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wabash on Tuesday. Frankton has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.
Despite the defeat, Frankton had strong showings from Brady Carmack, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals, and Nate Moore, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Austin Nunley, who scored five points along with two steals.
Frankton struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
It was another big night for Trevor Daughtry, who scored 14 points along with five assists and four steals for Wabash. Daughtry is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Izaak Wright, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Frankton's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Wabash, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-5.
Frankton will be playing in front of their home fans against Mississinewa at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Mississinewa focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine last Saturday. As for Wabash, they will head out on the road to challenge Rochester at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Rochester focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten last Saturday.
