Basketball Recap: Chillicothe Beats Centralia for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Chillicothe proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 28) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Centralia Panthers 47-45. The victory was nothing new for the Hornets as they're now sitting on four straight.

Chillicothe was led to victory by Sol'Jier Allen and Jaishon White. Allen went 6 of 14 en route to 17 points, while White went 7 of 11 on his way to 15 points and eight rebounds. White is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Langsten Johnson, who posted six points and five rebounds.

Chillicothe pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Centralia, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chillicothe won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Central at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Centralia, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Moberly at 7:45 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
