The Orleans Bulldogs will take on the North Daviess Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Orleans is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
Orleans is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They blew past Shoals 23-2. Considering the Bulldogs have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Ava Cooper and Ella Owens made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Cooper pitched two innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run but no hits. Meanwhile, Owens pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. At the plate, Cooper went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Owens went 3-for-4 with three runs. That's the most runs Owens has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cambree Cline, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilah Cheatham, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one double.
Orleans always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .692. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when North Daviess duked it out with Loogootee on Tuesday. The Cougars walked away with a 5-0 win over the Lions.
North Daviess is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Orleans, their record now sits at 20-6.
Orleans skirted past North Daviess 6-4 in their previous matchup on May 12th. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
