In what's become a running theme this season, the Catholic Central Crusaders gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 75-50 margin over Lansingburgh. The win was nothing new for Catholic Central as they're now sitting on 16 straight.
Catholic Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Darien Moore led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. Moore is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last 12 games he's played. Xavier Pahler was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Catholic Central pushed their record up to 16-1 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Lansingburgh, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Catholic Central will take on the Riders at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ichabod Crane will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while the Crusaders are ranked seventh). As for Lansingburgh, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Sabres at 6:30 p.m. on February 6th.
