The Highway 6 Trailblazers are taking a road trip to face off against the Centura Centurions at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Centura will be up against a hot Highway 6 squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Everything went the Trailblazers' way against Fairbury on Monday as they made off with a 14-6 victory.

Addisyn Norris made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, firing off two home runs and three runs while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Highway 6 got a massive performance out of Alexa Hale, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI Hale has posted since back in August. Katherine Marshall was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Highway 6 was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .645. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Centura never let their opponents score last Monday. Everything went their way against Hershey as they made off with an 11-0 win.
Like Highway 6, Centura also got a great game from a two-way player: Calleigh Sundberg. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. With that strong performance, Sundberg is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two doubles.
In other batting news, Lauren Suntych was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Lucy Chelewski, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Highway 6's record is now 7-9. As for Centura, their record now sits at 16-7.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Highway 6 has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.9 hits per game. However, it's not like Centura struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.4 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Highway 6 might still be hurting after the 19-10 defeat they got from Centura when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Trailblazers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
