Meanwhile, First Baptist Christian came tearing into Tuesday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down Open Door Christian 25-8. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points First Baptist Christian has scored all year.
St. Martin de Porres has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for First Baptist Christian, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2.
