Avon has gone 9-1 against Plainfield recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Orioles will face off against the Quakers at 4:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
Avon came out on top against Decatur Central on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Orioles walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Hawks.

Isaac Kramer tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Avon saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Salyer, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Wyatt Pennington was another, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, Plainfield got themselves on the board against Indian Creek on Tuesday, but Indian Creek never followed suit. They blew past the Braves 6-0.
Gavin Lykins made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Lykins was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
In other pitching news, Luke Warriner looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Plainfield is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 9-11 otherwise.
Back at the plate, Ty White was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April.
Avon's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-11. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Plainfield, their win bumped their record up to 15-11.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Avon has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Plainfield struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Avon's way against Plainfield when the teams last played back in April, as Avon made off with a 14-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Orioles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
