Charles J. Colgan's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Freedom as they made off with a 12-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Sharks, who have now won 12 contests in a row.
Kayla Boatwright made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three RBI and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Julia Shepard, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Caroline Jurack, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
