Meanwhile, Mynderse Academy never let their opponents score on Monday. They put the hurt on Penn Yan Academy with a sharp 18-0 victory. Fans of the Blue Devils have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Haley Young made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Young was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other pitching news, Maddison Brown looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Allyson Fenton was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kyah Lajewski, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, one double, and one RBI.
Mynderse Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in four consecutive matchups.
