The Trinity Christian Academy Warriors will head out on the road to take on the Faustina Academy Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity Christian Academy is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Two weeks ago, Trinity Christian Academy didn't have too much trouble with Lakewood Presbyterian on the road as they won 48-29.
Meanwhile, Faustina Academy had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.8 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 49-21 win over Lakewood Presbyterian at home. Faustina Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 21 points or more this season.
Faustina Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grace Denny, who scored 13 points along with three steals. Denny is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Malia Flood was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with two steals.
Trinity Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Faustina Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
Trinity Christian Academy came up short against Faustina Academy in their previous meeting back in January, falling 51-41. Can Trinity Christian Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
