The Delmarva Christian Royals are taking a road trip to take on the Red Lion Christian Academy Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Delmarva Christian 4.1, Red Lion Christian Academy 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Delmarva Christian came out on top against Seaford on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run seventh inning. The Royals took their contest against the Bluejays 6-2. The win was familiar territory for the Royals, who have now won five matches in a row.
Jackson Ward spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single walk in three consecutive appearances.

Caleb Sutton made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out 11 batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Sutton was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Delmarva Christian has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Red Lion Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 10.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Delmarva Christian suffered a grim 13-2 defeat to Red Lion Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Royals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
