On Thursday, while the Grafton Gators put up some points, the same can't be said for the Millbury Woolies. Grafton took down Millbury 14-0. Given Grafton's advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts football rankings (they are ranked 50th, while Millbury is ranked 161st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
The critical scores for Grafton came from Jake Mayerhauser and Finn Gilmore.
One reason for the win was Grafton's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Chase Dimond and Chad Duplessis who racked up four sacks between them.
Grafton is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Millbury, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
Grafton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Millbury also has no future games currently scheduled.
