While Homedale's win against Payette wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Trojans had just enough and edged out the Pirates 13-12 on Monday. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Mikaila Aberasturi was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Hadlee Brown, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Aberasturi wasn't the only one making solid contact: Homedale kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Homedale's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-7. As for Payette, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Homedale will have a chance to go back-to-back against Payette: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
