San Benito is 2-8 against Hanna since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The San Benito Greyhounds will head out on the road to square off against the Hanna Golden Eagles at 7:30 p.m. San Benito has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 15.
Last Tuesday, San Benito ended up a good deal behind Weslaco and lost 43-24.
Hanna was handed a three-point loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Rivera on Tuesday. Hanna took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 70-41 victory over Rivera.
It was another big night for Beto Galarza, who scored 26 points along with three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Hanna's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Torres, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.
San Benito dropped their record down to 5-17 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Hanna, their victory bumped their record up to 23-12.
Things could have been worse for San Benito, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 58-39 loss to Hanna in their previous matchup back in January. Can San Benito avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
