Banning is a perfect 10-0 against San Bernardino since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Banning Broncos will be playing in front of their home fans against the San Bernardino Cardinals at 3:00 p.m. Banning will be strutting in after a victory while San Bernardino will be coming in after a loss.
Banning took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 14-5 margin over Nuview Bridge. The high-scoring effort was just what the Broncos needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.

Ella Leivas made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off one hit. Those ten strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of her eight plate appearances.
In other batting news, Banning let Anyssa Aqleh and Lilly Anderez run wild. Aqleh went 3-for-4 with five RBI, one triple, and one stolen base, while Anderez scored three runs while getting on base in five of her nine plate appearances. Nicelle Soriano was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of her eight plate appearances.
Meanwhile, San Bernardino came up short against Eisenhower on Tuesday and fell 8-5. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Sianna Lopez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Delilah Pacheco, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Banning's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for San Bernardino, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
Everything went Banning's way against San Bernardino in their previous meeting back in April of 2018, as Banning made off with a 27-0 victory. Will Banning repeat their success, or does San Bernardino have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
