Leading Innovation Academy to victory were Bryce Kankam and Derrick Twum. Kankam scored 23 points along with five rebounds and four steals, while Twum went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 32 points and 2 assists. That makes it five consecutive games in which Twum has scored at least a third of Innovation Academy's points. Sam Horace was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
Innovation Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for Minuteman Regional, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Innovation Academy will take on Prospect Hill Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Minuteman Regional, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Notre Dame Cristo Rey at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Notre Dame Cristo Rey will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Massachusetts Rankings (they are ranked 303rd, while Minuteman Regional is ranked 135th).
