Softball Recap: Six Straight Road Victories for Station Camp

Station Camp never let their opponents score on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Westhill Warriors with a sharp 11-0 victory.

Presley Kouba made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Ava Weis was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Weis, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one triple.

Station Camp was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westhill only posted a batting average of .176.

Station Camp's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-7. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Westhill, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Station Camp will challenge Edgewood at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Westhill, they will head out on the road to face off against Skaneateles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
